Brushless Motor Controller

The regular motor with brushes has maintenance issues due to short lift period of brushes used in the motors. Brushless motors are next generation pumps which has high reliability, low maintenance and high efficiency. Digital brushless motor control system consists of 16-bit DSC from Freescale, which controls all the functionality of the system. The system is enchanced with dynamic control using PIDS over current and over temperature protections and user analog interface, thermocouple, power switch and motor temperature interface with CAN communication. Two DSC controllers are used, one is dedicated for motor control and other is for Fault diagnostics. Communication between the two DSC is through SPI.
